SDMV EngineSound Terms of Use

Effective date: 22 October 2026

These terms apply to the SDMV EngineSound app on iPhone and Android. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.

What the app does

SDMV EngineSound plays a synthesized engine sound through your phone or a connected speaker, following your speed (RIDE) or your own throttle (REV). It is entertainment. It is not a safety device and does not replace a vehicle's own warning sounds.

Look after your speakers and your hearing

Every speaker has its own limits. You decide which speaker the app plays through and how loud, and you are responsible for keeping within what that speaker can take.

Riding safely and legally

Use at your own risk

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. You use it at your own risk.

To the extent the law allows, SDMV is not responsible for any damage or loss arising from the use of the app, including damage to speakers, amplifiers, phones or vehicles, hearing damage, accidents, fines, or loss of data. Nothing in these terms limits rights that the law of your country does not allow us to limit.

Purchases

SDMV EngineSound Pro is a one-time in-app purchase through the App Store or Google Play. Payments, refunds and family sharing follow the store's own terms. On iPhone, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies.

Licence

You may use the app for your own, non-commercial use. You may not copy, extract, resell or reverse-engineer the app or its engine sounds.

Privacy

How the app handles data is described in the privacy policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version is posted on this page with a new effective date.
